About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for designing and running automated and manual tests across all production stages. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in testing and/or quality assurance of Business Support Systems (BSS), as well as a strong background in telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and run automated and manual tests across all production stages
Create high-quality test cases based on requirements documents
Test new requirements and operational changes, analyzing the impact on the BSS system
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities as conducted by 3rd party customers
Ensure safety procedures are followed across all production stages
Maintain an up-to-date test environment reflecting production conditions
Work closely with production teams to understand requirements and recommend improvements

Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer involved in testing and/or quality assurance of BSS systems
Strong background in telecommunications industry
Experience with Soap UI Client, TMSS, and other relevant testing tools
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) – ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM)
Hands-on experience with database queries (PL/SQL and SQL)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or similar field
Minimum 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
