About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Coffee Sales & Market Development Executive to drive international market expansion for a premium Arabica coffee brand originating from Malawi. This is a strategic market-building mandate suited to a polished dealmaker who thrives at the intersection of FMCG, retail, and on-trade environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Market Expansion across South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia
- Secure High-Value Clients including premium retailers, distributors, specialty roasters, and on-trade partners
- Lead Complex Sales Cycles from strategic prospecting through to negotiation and closing
- Elevate Brand Positioning through compelling storytelling, cuppings, and executive-level engagement
- Build Strategic Relationships with key decision-makers across retail and hospitality sectors
- Leverage Market Intelligence to inform pricing, positioning, and competitive strategy
Requirements
- Proven success in senior FMCG sales / market development roles
- Essential experience across Retail AND On-Trade channels
- Strong exposure to international markets (Middle East, Europe, Asia highly advantageous)
- Deep commercial acumen with the ability to structure and close complex deals
- Highly articulate, credible, and confident engaging at executive and board level
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven, ownership mentality
