We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Site Manager to join a dynamic construction team based in Randburg. This dual-role position requires a professional who can effectively manage project costs while overseeing on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Key Responsibilities: Quantity Surveying (Cost Management): Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts Conduct measurements and valuations of work completed on-site Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial efficiency Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and appointing subcontractors Evaluate and certify contractor and supplier invoices Prepare and submit progress claims and final accounts Site Management: Oversee daily site operations and construction activities Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labour, and suppliers Monitor progress and ensure alignment with project plans Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work quality Quality, Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and standards Implement and maintain quality control procedures on-site Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations Identify and resolve any site issues, delays, or risks Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, and timelines Attend and lead site meetings where required Minimum Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry Proven experience in both cost management and site supervision Strong understanding of construction contracts and project lifecycle Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant construction/project software Key Competencies: Strong financial and cost control skills Excellent leadership and site management ability High attention to detail and quality standards Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills Additional Requirements: Valid drivers license Willingness to travel to sites if required Ability to work flexible hours depending on project demands
