About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to join our manufacturing team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and maintaining electrical and controls specifications for all manufactured equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering principles and electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define & maintain electrical & controls specifications for all manufactured equipment
- Ensure that all equipment manufactured meets electrical and controls specifications, installation standards, and testing requirements
- Oversee installation and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with engineering principles and electrical standards
- Develop and enforce testing protocols for electrical systems and controls to guarantee safety and functionality
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Product Engineering teams to integrate electrical requirements into overall system design
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during manufacturing and assembly
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for electrical design, installation, and testing processes
- Maintain documentation and ensure traceability for all electrical components and systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems design, installation, and testing within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience with controls systems, PLCs, and automation technologies
- Proficiency in electrical design software and MS Office tools
