Job Description

Responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of PnS in-store employees, ensuring that field staff can meet their business objectives, drive KPI performance and deliver quality services that meet customers needs and compliance requirements Grade 12 Valid South African drivers license Minimum of 5 year’s experience within the sales & merchandising in-store environment Availability to travel and visit our retail stores, as needed Excellent coaching & training skills Previous experience as a team leader Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the group Ability to motivate employees to achieve compliance numbers Ability to manage the full in-store training cycle, including conducting in-person activities and using online communication platforms Own smart mobile device Excellent communication skills written, verbal and telephonic (English) > The capacity to listen attentively, present information in a clear manner and respond appropriately to the verbal and written communication of others Excellent organiser and planner > The capacity to break down a large task into subtasks or sub-goals, to anticipate obstacles and evaluate alternatives. Includes needs identification (recognising gaps between the current situation and a desired outcome), as well as the ability to define tasks needed to accomplish goals and assign and co-ordinate people, tasks and resources to ensure an efficient flow of work Strong interpersonal skills and team player > The ability to work with others toward a shared goal, participating actively, sharing responsibility and rewards, and contributing to the capability of the team. The ability to draw others into active commitment to the team’s effort Diplomacy > The ability to manage professional relationships, communicate with intent, seek to understand, provide support and creative solutions, and help mediate work conflicts. Coaching & Mentoring skills > The ability to provide an experience that enables learning and development to occur and thus performance to improve, as well as ensuring others are able to make significant transitions in knowledge, work or thinking. Technical and professional knowledge > Knowledge and skill pertaining to Sales & Merchandising, In Store procedures and systems used in retail/wholesale Reporting & communication skills > The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and concretely in writing, as well as using relevant tools (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook) to gather, evaluate and analyse relevant information to report progress. Relationship builder (clients & channels) > The capacity to put people at ease and build sound relationships based on mutual trust and openness Customer service orientation > The willingness to anticipate, recognise and meet the needs of clients and customers. Self-Management > The capacity to plan, manage, monitor and evaluate own workflow and output, anticipating obstacles, juggling priorities and following through on goals and commitments within agreed time-frames
