About the Role
A leading specialised beverage supplier is seeking an experienced Inland Regional Sales Manager to oversee and drive growth across the Inland Region. As a results-driven sales leader with a passion for beverages, hospitality, and out-of-home solutions, you will lead a high-performing team, build strong customer relationships, and deliver sustainable sales growth in a dynamic and expanding industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage the Inland Region: Oversee sales consultants, regional agents, channel specialists, and trainers across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Free State, North West, and the Northern Provinces.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for each consultant and the region as a whole.
- Coach & Develop Teams: Provide ongoing training in strategic selling skills, hot and cold beverage solutions, and product knowledge.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a robust Regional Sales Plan by province and sub-region, reviewed and refined quarterly.
- Margin Management: Ensure profitability by implementing price increase cycles every 6 months.
- Key Account Management: Personally manage select regional group customers with structured reviews and relationship-building.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct field visits with sales consultants to support customer retention, growth, and new business opportunities.
- Sales Cycle Development: Implement structured call cycles aligned with key customers, basket growth, and new business development.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with National Key Account Managers, Channel Managers, and the Call Centre team to achieve aligned sales outcomes.
- Product Launches: Roll out new product launches regionally and ensure effective team training.
- Performance Analysis: Track, analyse, and report monthly on regional sales performance.
- Team Leadership: Foster high morale, manage HR-related matters, and initiate team-building activities to drive motivation and engagement.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in sales management within the foodservice or out-of-home sales environment (hotels, casinos, conference centres, restaurants, or coffee shops). Proven expertise in B2B sales and solution selling. Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to drive profitable growth. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to create impactful sales presentations.
