About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service to our hospitality clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal sales, telesales, or customer service within the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Proactively contact customers to generate sales and promote products
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
  • Follow up on sales leads and customer enquiries promptly
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
  • Assist in executing sales promotions, campaigns, and product launches
  • Provide professional and efficient support to customers regarding products, pricing, and availability
  • Resolve customer queries, complaints, and order issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate customer records and communication logs
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor order status and coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and communicate any delays to customers
  • Manage returns, credits, and claims according to company procedures
  • Prepare quotations, sales reports, and customer account updates
  • Monitor customer purchasing trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Assist with customer account reconciliations and payment follow-ups where required

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field advantageous
  • 2–5 years’ experience in internal sales, telesales, or customer service within the FMCG industry
  • Experience working with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, or key accounts preferred
