Johannesburg: Junior Electronic Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electronic Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers looking to develop hands-on experience in electronic design, testing, and product development. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuits and systems Support senior engineers with prototyping, PCB layout, and verification activities Conduct fault-finding, debugging, and performance analysis Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and design notes Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and manufacturing Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and project specifications Requirements Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Eagle) Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and teamwork abilities

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Junior Electronic Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for electronics design, testing, and development. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, build, and maintain electronic systems and devices that meet customer and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded systems. Support the creation of technical drawings, schematics, and documentation. Conduct component selection, prototype assembly, and functional testing. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware or firmware issues in collaboration with senior engineers. Participate in product improvement, research, and innovation initiatives. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, quality, and safety requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and production engineers. Qualifications & Skills Bachelors degree (B.Eng / BSc) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics , or related engineering discipline. 02 years of experience in electronics design or testing (graduates encouraged to apply). Familiarity with schematic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or OrCAD). Basic knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, embedded systems, and signal processing. Understanding of soldering, PCB assembly, and circuit debugging techniques. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Good written and verbal communication skills.
