About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Senior Accountants to join our team in Johannesburg South. As a key member of our accounting and finance company, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients on tax planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting, while also ensuring regulatory compliance and leading our team of junior accountants.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Advisory Services: Offer expert advice on tax planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting to clients.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure clients adhere to accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise junior accountants, providing guidance and support.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand the firm’s client base and strengthen client relationships.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain financial records and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance.
- Tax Preparation: Gather information and help prepare tax returns for clients.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients, address inquiries, and provide assistance.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll for clients, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Value Added Tax (VAT) Compliance: Ensure clients comply with VAT regulations by assisting in VAT registration, filing VAT returns, and managing VAT records.

- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Qualifications
- Proficiently navigate accounting software for data input and report generation (SAGE Online, Sage Payroll, Xero, Pastel, CaseWare, E-filling)
