You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening controls, and driving efficiencies through process improvements and automation. This role is ideal for a finance professional from the insurance or assurance industry who is immediately available or nearing the end of a contract and looking to secure their next impactful opportunity. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IFRS-compliant financial reporting across the group and subsidiaries
- Manage and review management accounts, budgets, and tax submissions
- Drive process automation and ensure data integrity within financial systems
- Strengthen governance, internal controls, and financial policies
- Lead and develop a finance team, ensuring performance and growth
- Partner with business units to support strategic and operational decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: NQF Level 7 Finance qualification (CA(SA) or CIMA preferred)
- Experience: 5–8 years’ financial accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role within the insurance or assurance industry
- Skills: Strong IFRS knowledge (IFRS 17 highly advantageous), advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in financial reporting, controls, and stakeholder engagement
