About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager in DRC, based in Kolwezi, to lead our client’s high-profile regional operation in one of the world’s most active copper mining corridors. As the most senior on-the-ground representative, you will be accountable for operational performance, commercial growth, team leadership, and stakeholder relationships across the Copperbelt.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Operations: Own end-to-end delivery of AIM, industrial, and mechanical engineering services across the region. Keeping everything on time, maintain a high standard, and on budget.
- Manage multiple concurrent sites and contracts, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Drive a Safety-First Culture:
- Set the tone on HSE. You will be leading a zero-harm culture and ensuring full compliance with DRC mining regulations and client frameworks.
- Make safety a lived value across every level of the workforce, not just a reporting obligation.
- Build & Lead Your Team:
- Lead a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary workforce. You will be developing talent, managing contractors, and overseeing workforce mobilisation across the region.
- Deliver Commercial Results:
- Own the regional P&L managing budgets, protecting margins, and identifying growth opportunities within and beyond the existing client base.
- Manage contracts and commercial relationships with rigour; keep senior leadership informed on financial performance and pipeline.
- Represent the Business:
- Be the face of the organisation with mining houses, government authorities, regulators, unions, and communities across the Copperbelt.
- Build relationships that open doors, resolve issues early, and position the business as a trusted partner of choice.
Requirements
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline essential.
- Post-graduate qualification in Business or Project Management advantageous.
- HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
