About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for managing and growing key accounts in the colourants and coatings raw materials industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial drive, analytical mindset, and good interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage and grow Key Accounts supplying colourant and coatings raw materials into retail, decorative, industrial, construction, Ink, and automotive manufacturing industries.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and deliver tailored raw material solutions to strengthen the company’s market position.
  • Grow revenue by ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring accurate product forecasting.
  • Drive sales growth by introducing new raw materials, technologies, and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to align technical and commercial strategies.
  • Prepare and execute account development plans and sales forecasts.
  • Visit customer sites regularly to maintain visibility and gain insights into operational and technical needs.
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations for coating and related formulations.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for management.
  • Manage stock forecasts and ensure that customers’ products are delivered on time.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies aligned with customer and company growth objectives.

Requirements

  • A Matric or Tertiary qualification is preferred for this role.
  • Previous colourants or coatings raw material sales experience is preferred but not essential as product training will be provided.
  • Strong commercial drive, analytical mindset, and good interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and achieving sales targets.
