Our client has an opportunity available for a Senior Legal Advisor.

Requirements:

• Law degree and admission as an attorney- essential.
• Masters degree such as LLM is desirable.
• 5+ years post-article experience in the financial service industry.
• 2 to 3 years experience in the banking and finance space- essential.
• Experience in the drafting, review, negotiation, etc. transactions.
• Corporate and commercial legal knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general legal advice, including legal research.
• Structure, restructure, negotiate and re-negotiate corporate and commercial transactions.
• Identify, evaluate and structure import and export finance transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal legal and other company procedures and policies.
• Identify and minimize potential legal risks.
• Conduct legal due diligence investigations.
• Ensure efficiencies aimed at improving client satisfaction by providing efficient legal services.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with providers of legal services.
• Develop and maintain client and institutional relationships, internally, locally and internationally.
