About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and disciplined Stock Controller / Warehouse Manager to take full responsibility for the control of spare parts within a manual stock-keeping environment. This role is suited to a hands-on individual with solid experience in spare parts stores and warehouse management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately book in spare parts against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Allocate bins, label, pack, and store parts in an orderly and logical manner.
- Issue parts to technicians, workshop, and dispatch with correct documentation and strict sign-out control.
- Maintain accurate stock records using manual registers, bin cards, and basic spreadsheets.
- Conduct cycle counts and monthly stock takes, investigate variances, and report discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels, identify low stock items, assist with minimum and maximum levels, and compile replenishment requests.
- Ensure correct part identification including part numbers, descriptions, units of measure, and approved substitutions.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure stores environment.
- Support dispatch and collections, including correct packaging and verification that the correct parts are issued.
Requirements
- Proven experience in stock control, stores, or warehouse management is essential.
- Experience handling spare parts, preferably within an engineering, mechanical, or equipment environment, is required.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a manual stock control environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
