About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, managing supplier performance metrics, and developing cost-saving initiatives. If you have a strong background in supply chain management and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end procurement processes: supplier sourcing, evaluation, RFQs/RFPs, price negotiation, contract execution, and PO issuance.
Manage supplier performance metrics: delivery reliability, quality compliance, cost benchmarking; conduct corrective action as needed.
Maintain accurate inventory control and coordinate with production and logistics units to align supply with manufacturing schedules.
Build and maintain key vendor relationships to ensure alignment on cost, quality, lead-time, and contract terms.
Develop and manage cost-saving initiatives, monitor spend trends, and report procurement performance.
Coordinate logistics and inbound delivery planning in conjunction with operations or warehouse teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Management, or related field.
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and purchase order systems. Familiarity with ERP or materials management systems is advantageous.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills comfortable using Excel (e.g., cost analysis, spend dashboards, inventory tracking).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities. Comfortable coordinating across cross-functional teams.
