About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, managing supplier performance metrics, and developing cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes: supplier sourcing, evaluation, RFQs/RFPs, price negotiation, contract execution, and PO issuance.
- Manage supplier performance metrics: delivery reliability, quality compliance, cost benchmarking; conduct corrective action as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory control and coordinate with production and logistics units to align supply with manufacturing schedules.
- Build and maintain key vendor relationships to ensure alignment on cost, quality, lead-time, and contract terms.
- Develop and manage cost-saving initiatives, monitor spend trends, and report procurement performance.
- Coordinate logistics and inbound delivery planning in conjunction with operations or warehouse teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Management, or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and purchase order systems. Familiarity with ERP or materials management systems is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills comfortable using Excel (e.g., cost analysis, spend dashboards, inventory tracking).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities. Comfortable coordinating across cross-functional teams.
