About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law, excellent analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert tax advice and support to clients on various tax matters, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, and corporations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough research on tax issues and stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Assist clients in resolving tax-related issues and disputes with tax authorities.
- Communicate complex tax concepts and strategies to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of tax-related transactions and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior tax staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to clients.
- Experience with tax preparation software and other financial tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
