About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at PAR EXCELLANCE in La Lucia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our business, ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This is a unique opportunity to develop and implement operational strategies, drive continuous improvement (CI) efforts, and lead a team of production staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve CI efficiency
- Oversee day-to-day production activities, including workflow management, capacity planning, resource allocation, and identifying bottlenecks
- Ensure production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are met
- Monitor output, waste, downtime, labor efficiency, and implement Lean Manufacturing/process optimization strategies to reduce operational costs
- Maintain product quality and drive CI
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health, Safety, Regulatory Requirements, and GMP/HACCP/ISO standards
- Manage and lead production staff, including Production Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and operational staff
- Develop and implement shift structures, workforce planning, and training programs to promote a positive workplace culture
- Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary processes, and ensure internal/external audit readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or BCom in Operations Management, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering
- 8-10 years of proven experience in operations/production management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing teams and overseeing daily operations of businesses in RTE, food, processing, or packing factories
Qualifications
- Dip. Project Management (if applicable)
