About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated couple to join our intimate private luxury game lodge in the Vaalwater area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting our reserve management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- HIM: Field Guide / Maintenance & Reserve Manager:
- Conduct guided game drives and bush walks.
- Oversee reserve management, including habitat monitoring and conservation tasks.
- Handle vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Manage infrastructure upkeep (roads, fencing, water systems).
- Supervise staff and contractors when required.
- Ensure guest safety and deliver exceptional guiding experiences.
- HER: AllRounder:
- Assist across lodge operations including housekeeping, kitchen, and frontofhouse.
- Support guest relations and checkins.
- Handle administration and reservations support.
- Assist with hosting and general lodge duties.
- Flexible support in areas such as stock control and staff coordination.
Requirements
- HIM: FGASA Level 1 (minimum), higher levels advantageous. Valid PDP and First Aid certification. Minimum 35 years guiding and reserve management experience. Strong mechanical and maintenance skills. Leadership and team management ability.
- HER: Hospitality qualification advantageous. Minimum 23 years lodge or hospitality experience. Strong organisational and multitasking ability.
Qualifications
