About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in Palantir Foundry Platform to join our team in Menlyn. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for managing and developing projects, processes, and applications that drive business value. You will work closely with partners in Munich to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of BMW.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop projects and processes for Palantir Foundry Platform
- Develop in Data Driven Programming languages such as Python and Big Data pipelines like ETL, SQL, Spark etc.
- Develop APIs to trigger side effects in large systems affecting the whole of BMW
- Assist Business with Proof of Concepts (POCs) and business value calculations from a developer perspective
- Development and Operations of Applications and Features, in collaboration with partners in Munich
- System testing/parallel runs
- System implementation
- System audits/quality assurance
- Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
- Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System owner
- Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
- Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
- Setting up of Test Cases, Test Processes and Test Automation for the Development of Applications
- Running of Tests to ensure Quality of Work and Ensuring the Test Results are Reported back into Xray.
- Security Checks and Security Setting to ensure platform is secure and within BMW Security Guidelines.
- Monitoring and Resolving WIZ Security Findings.
- Assisting with the Setup of Networking Infrastructure and Settings for the Impact Platform AWS Accounts.
Requirements
- Relevant IT / Business / Engineering Degree
- 8 years experience in Software Development
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in Python (decorators, advanced class manipulation, dependency injection etc) (essential)
- 5 years experience in AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamodb, Fargate, EMR, Glue, Athena, IAM etc) (essential)
- AWS Certified Developer Associate / Solutions Architect (advantageous)
