Job Description

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join their project team on a prestigious high-rise development in the Midrand area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a proven track record in managing building works, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering quality projects safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily site activities on a high-rise building project. Manage labour, subcontractors, plant, and material resources. Ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and project programmes. Monitor productivity and maintain project deadlines. Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on site. Conduct daily toolbox talks and site inspections. Coordinate site logistics and workflow between trades. Report progress, delays, and site issues to the Site Manager and Contracts Team. Ensure workmanship meets the required quality standards. Assist with planning and scheduling of construction activities. Minimum Requirements National Senior Certificate (Grade 12). Relevant construction qualification advantageous. Minimum 810 years’ experience in building construction. Proven experience working on multi-storey or high-rise building projects. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, finishes, and building regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong focus on quality, safety, and programme delivery. Valid driver’s licence. Key Competencies Leadership and team management.
