About the Role
Humankind is seeking an experienced Financial Manager – FP&A to join our team in Midrand. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and commercial performance insight across our local and regional business. You will act as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, translating complex manufacturing and operational data into actionable financial insight that supports decision-making, profitability improvement, and working capital optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes
- Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
- Compile and submit multinational reporting packs in line with strict group deadlines (USD reporting)
- Partner closely with the Managing Director and operational leadership teams on commercial performance
- Translate manufacturing drivers (costs, margins, volumes, inventory) into meaningful financial insight
- Support working capital management, including inventory, receivables, and payables optimisation
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models for scenario planning and strategic initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with group accounting policies, controls, and reporting standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A capability within the finance function
Requirements
- CIMA qualification or Honours in Management Accounting
- 10–12+ years’ progressive finance experience
- Strong FP&A leadership background within a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to chemical, industrial, or FMCG manufacturing sectors
- Experience within a multinational or regional group reporting structure
- Advanced Excel skills with strong ERP, BI, and analytical tool capability
