About the Role
The Product Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a product sales strategy to drive business growth and achieve annual order intake targets while maintaining gross margins above 20%. This role requires strong technical knowledge of process equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a product sales strategy within six months aligned to business objectives and market opportunities
- Achieve annual order intake targets while sustaining gross margins above 20%
- Maintain an active, qualified pipeline at no less than three times the annual sales target
- Identify and pursue new market segments and customer opportunities with structured engagement plans
- Compile high-quality technical proposals and tenders incorporating value-selling methodology and accurate costings
- Conduct site assessments and technical audits across key projects
- Facilitate test work programs from planning through to completion and reporting
- Liaise directly with process engineers, mine planners, consultants, and project houses
- Ensure complete and accurate project handovers to the project management team
- Maintain CRM accuracy with all active opportunities, forecasts, and value pitches updated weekly
Requirements
- 58 years of engineering sales experience in the mining or process equipment environment
- Proven capital equipment sales record into the mining and minerals processing markets
- Specific experience with mineral separation equipment, preference given to candidates with knowledge of jigs, UCC, DMS, or sensor sorting
- Solid understanding of plant design and operations sufficient to engage credibly at process engineering level
- Experience managing complex capital tenders including negotiation, legal terms, risk assessment, and performance guarantees
- Proven budgeting and financial modelling capability
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline
