Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Tailormade Solution in Milnerton. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods using our forklift fleet. With a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment with attention to safety protocols
Load, unload, stack, and move materials using material handling processes
Adhere to strict safety standards and report any incidents or hazards
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and manage handheld devices for inventory management
Perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating forklift controls
Work well in a team environment with good communication skills
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Valid Forklift Operator’s License/certification
Grade 12
Clear Criminal record
Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, stacking, and material handling processes
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and handheld devices for inventory management
Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and inventory management

Qualifications

Grade 12 certificate
