About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Factory Manager to lead our team in developing and growing the Cape Town market for dry baking products, premixes, speciality bread mixes, and pan oils. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the baking industry, with a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the Cape Town market for dry baking products, premixes, speciality bread mixes, and pan oils
- Source and secure new business opportunities within the bakery industry
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing bakery clients
- Achieve monthly sales targets and business development objectives
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and product trials
- Work closely with the test baker regarding product support and demonstrations
- Manage stock control, ordering of raw materials and finished products
- Oversee dispatch and basic warehouse operations
- Supervise branch staff, including the driver and general worker
- Ensure efficient day-to-day branch operations
- Provide excellent customer service and technical product support
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years sales experience within the baking industry
- Previous experience selling bakery ingredients, dry mixes, premixes, pan oils, or related baking products
- Strong external sales and business development experience
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships within the bakery sector
- Experience introducing and growing FMCG food products within the market
Qualifications
- Valid drivers licence
- Computer literate
