About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in Nelspruit, Ngodwana. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems within a power generation, industrial, or heavy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on generators, transformers, switchgear, and high-voltage systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using PLC systems, SCADA systems, HMIs, and industrial communication networks
- Maintain knowledge of signal exchange systems such as Profibus, MPI, IFM, or similar technologies
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure optimal plant performance
- Collaborate with the team to achieve maintenance goals and objectives
Requirements
- Associate Degree, Diploma, Apprenticeship, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar electrical maintenance role within a power generation, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment
