About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in North West as a fixed-term contract. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods while also developing and standardizing recipes and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods to a high standard
- Develop and standardise recipes and production processes
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in pastry preparation techniques
- Ensure quality control, consistency, and presentation standards
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen compliance standards
- Assist with stock control and ingredient management
Requirements
- Relevant Pastry Chef qualification
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert production, and presentation
- Previous experience in staff training and mentoring will be advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
