Factory Engineer
Purpose of the Role:
- To oversee factory maintenance, assets, and projects to ensure optimal plant efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- To ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage factory engineering projects, contractors, and on-site work.
- Oversee maintenance and construction programs to maximise plant uptime.
- Manage factory assets and contribute to budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
- Oversee utilities and infrastructure across the plant, village, and hostel facilities.
- Support the achievement of optimal efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Lead and manage the performance of teams and subordinates.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards and Quality Management Systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc Eng) with at least 2 years post-graduate experience in plant operation and maintenance (power generation capacity above 3000kW), and successful completion of the OSH Act examination through the Commission of Examiners; or
- A certified engineer with a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Factories.
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience in an industrial plant, including boiler operations.
- At least 3 years experience managing a skilled maintenance team.
- Minimum 3 years experience working with CAD.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, internet navigation, and search tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
