Job Description

  • Removal and replacement of brake drums, brake shoes, and
    all related brake components on truck trailers
  • Servicing and maintenance of air brake systems, air
    boosters, air valves, and pipes
  • Adjustment of wheel bearings
  • Inspection and replacement of torque arm bushes
  • Servicing of axles, springs, and trailer suspension
    components
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting brake and air system faults
    on truck trailers
  • Full servicing and maintenance of trailer running gear and
    suspension below deck
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop
    environment
    Relevant trade qualification or certification in
    brake fitting or heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience
    specifically in truck trailer brake systems
  • Extensive practical knowledge of air brake
    systems on truck trailers
  • Experience with S-Cam bushes, slack
    adjusters, and torque arm bushes
  • Strong knowledge of the entire trailer running
    suspension below deck
  • Ability to work independently and meet
    production deadlines
  • Physically fit and able to handle demanding
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to
    safety and quality
