About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Stock Controller for a well-established 5-star boutique hotel and spa in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape. The successful candidate will take ownership of stock management across all departments, maintaining high standards and ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular stock counts across all departments including F&B, housekeeping, spa and maintenance
- Manage and process all stock orders, deliveries and supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate stock records and identify variances promptly
- Monitor par levels and flag low stock timeously
- Ensure correct storage, rotation and labelling of all stock
- Assist with month-end reporting and stock reconciliation
- Liaise with department heads on stock requirements and discrepancies
- Support cost control initiatives across the property
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ stock control experience within a hotel, lodge or restaurant environment
- Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with stock management or POS systems
- Understanding of F&B costing and procurement processes
- Ability to work methodically and independently
Qualifications
- Valid South African driver’s license
- Stable work history with contactable references
