About the Role

An established and growing healthcare management organisation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team in Port Elizabeth / GQ. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a structured and impactful organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Perform VAT (VAT201) calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
  • Submit EMP201 returns
  • Manage bank-related transactions and reconciliations
  • Review and approve creditors reconciliations
  • Process month-end journals and financial data
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions and loan accounts
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning
  • Engage with Facility Managers to resolve queries and provide financial support
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience with SAGE Intacct or Evolution Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp industry-specific (healthcare) requirements
