About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for forging relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites, identifying potential threats and opportunities, and driving growth through strategic planning and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of the telecommunications market and the ability to foster an atmosphere of self-study and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and forge relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites
- Monitor renewal dates, overflow, quarterly project plans, and industry trends to inform business decisions
- Analyze debtors and technical (helpdesk) interactions to maintain high levels of customer service
- Utilize competencies of Product Specialists and Product Managers to ensure budget alignment and effective resource allocation
- Foster an atmosphere of self-study and innovation in the company’s approach to the telecommunications market
- Promote teamwork and camaraderie amongst staff, and effectively communicate with colleagues and partners
Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma in Accounting or Business Management
- 3 years’ experience in Account Management
- 3 years’ experience in a Telecom environment
