About the Role
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of a company’s equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly inspection of facility to ensure smooth operations, including Generator, Water tanks, Heat pumps, Fire Emergency system and other operational equipment.
- Perform periodic maintenance and plan preventative maintenance around operational requirements.
- Report to the General Manager and Owner daily on Maintenance carried out and plans for future Maintenance to be scheduled.
- Respond immediately to guest requests for maintenance queries.
- Manage costs of maintenance through effective quoting and cost control measures.
- Ensure that all maintenance tools and equipment is maintained and stored away in safe place.
- Carry out regular inspection of building facilities to ensure they are operational and efficient.
- Monitor work carried out by contractors and when work is done record what has been done, including filing and scanning work orders to ensure proper records are kept of all work done on site and on which items of equipment as well as the costs of repairs done.
- Equipment and maintenance consumables and tools stock takes done monthly.
- Check daily work orders and carry them out in order of importance, and once done to close work orders on the Maintenance app.
- Ensure facility premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ensure that all maintenance/testing operations are in accordance with acceptable standards.
Requirements
- Matric Qualification in maintenance related trade eg, construction, plumbing or electrical.
- Sound knowledge of technical / electrical systems.
- Experience in property management / facilities management would be an advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Drivers License.
