Salary: Market related, PLUS fuel and cell phone allowance, PLUS 13th Cheque

Type: On-site, in the office

Overview

A dynamic local agri-trading business is seeking a detail-oriented Trade Administrator to support its trading and execution functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that contracts, logistics coordination, and financial processes are accurately managed and executed within tight deadlines.

You will work closely with Traders, Logistics/Execution, and Finance teams to ensure seamless transaction flow from contract creation through to delivery and payment.

Duties:

  • Capture and send contracts
  • Request daily information from clients and producers and capture it in the system
  • Calculate transport payments according to the payment schedule
  • Inform traders of unpriced contracts so they can contact producers in time to set prices
  • Forward queries to Logistics/Trade Execution regarding weight/contract discrepancies and transport rates
  • Request PODs (Proof of Delivery) for loads with discrepancies
  • Provide information to Finance to ensure invoices and payments are processed on time
  • Ensure all queries are submitted promptly to avoid delays in processes
  • Maintain records of deliveries, contracts, and supporting documents
  • Handle FICA documentation for clients and producers and upload it to the system

Requirements

  • 24 years experience in a similar Trade Administration / Logistics / Finance support role
  • Exposure to commodity trading, agriculture, or logistics environments is highly advantageous
  • Strong numerical ability with attention to detail
  • Experience working with contracts, reconciliations, and data capturing
  • Proficiency in Excel and internal systems
