About the Role
AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Pretoria, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing control systems according to client-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a cost-effective solution for projects to meet customer needs.
- Prepare a functional and detailed design of the approved solution for the client to ensure effective development.
- Design system architecture for software implementations.
- Design industrial communication networks for software implementations (ethernet, fibre, Profinet, etc.).
- Design, develop, test, and implement PLC programs according to client specifications and ensure optimal functioning.
- Design, develop, test, and implement SCADA and/or HMI applications according to client specifications and ensure optimal functioning.
- Develop simulation applications for testing and training purposes.
- Develop QCP documentation for factory acceptance testing.
- Perform factory acceptance tests to ensure the designed solution is fully functional.
- Implement the complete solution at the client and ensure optimal functioning.
- Develop QCP documentation for site acceptance testing.
- Perform site acceptance tests to ensure the designed solution is fully functional.
- Provide training and assistance to the client to ensure they can use the system within design constraints.
- Provide post-project system support for the client as and when required.
Requirements
- Degree, Technical Diploma or NQF Equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 3-5 years of relevant industrial automation experience.
- Practical experience in Control System Design, Development, FAT Testing and Commissioning.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of fibre networks and the methodology thereof.
- Practical experience in Ethernet networks and switches.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of PLC programming and the methodology thereof with practical experience in at least one of the following:
- Siemens
- Schneider
- Allan Bradley
- Omron
- Beckhoff
- Mitsubishi
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of SCADA development and the methodology thereof with practical experience in at least one of the following industry supervisory platforms:
- Wonderware
- Siemens
- Schneider
- Allan Bradley
- Adriot
- Exposure to mining industry will be advantageous.
