A very established licensed Medical Device Manufacturer, Distributor & Wholesaler and a trusted provider of highquality Printing & Packaging solutions in Pretoria is looking for a Factory Machine Minder . Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent 5 years experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment In house training will be provided Experience in stainless steel fabrication, pressure vessels, or similar industries preferred Methodical, with an ability to work under pressure whilst being attentive to detail, with the capacity to multitask, must be able to use own initiative, and be a team player. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. Good respectful communication, effective conflict management and interpersonal skills with superiors, colleagues, and suppliers. Organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Must take pride in appearance of Pretoria facility and equipment and has excellent attention to detail Responsibilities: PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT Highlighted potential constraints or risks impacting production schedules Ensured Quality Control checks were completed and approved timeously Notified Factory Supervisor immediately of quality issues, staffing shortages or production delays Completed, filed and submitted all required paperwork on time Communicated clearly, timeously and effectively with all company stakeholders Ensured production plan was met Maintained zero quality issues Maintained machine uptime and efficiency Monitored production output against daily and weekly targets Ensured quality compliance and reduced defect rates Ensured adherence to safety standards Maintained accuracy of all production records Carried out all reasonable assignments requested by Management PRODUCTION OPERATIONS Set up, operated and monitored machinery including CNC machines, press brakes, rollers, welding equipment and polishing machines Ensured machines ran efficiently to meet daily production targets Loaded raw materials and components into machines and removed finished products Adjusted machine settings to maintain optimal performance and product quality Followed production work orders, drawings and specifications accurately Recorded production output, downtime and variances accurately Completed job cards, checklists and inspection records Provided feedback to supervisors on production performance and issues Collaborated with supervisors, quality inspectors and maintenance teams Assisted with training of junior operators Supported continuous improvement initiatives within the factory Ensured production plan was met Maintained zero quality issues Maintained machine uptime and efficiency Ensured production output met targets Ensured quality compliance and reduced defect rates Ensured adherence to safety standards Maintained accuracy of production records MAINTENANCE & CALIBRATION Supported the preventative maintenance plan for the Pretoria office and all departments where trained Maintained cleanliness and housekeeping of machines and surrounding work areas Ensured all new equipment was added to the maintenance schedule and obsolete equipment removed Ensured maintenance schedule was up to date and all preventative maintenance activities completed before due dates Ensured all new equipment requiring calibration was added to the calibration schedule and obsolete equipment removed Ensured calibration schedule was up to date and all calibration activities completed before due dates Obtained quotes for all maintenance work Ensured all maintenance work was approved before commencement Obtained Job Cards or Completion Certificates for all maintenance work performed Maintained minimal breakdowns Ensured compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Ensured maintenance and calibration schedules were up to date and deadlines met Ensured clear communication across the organisation regarding maintenance activities ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY Supported housekeeping of the factory area Operated machinery in accordance with safety procedures and company policies Wore appropriate PPE at all times Reported unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses immediately Ensured compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Enforced organisational safety principles including no cellphone in production, correct PPE, hairnets in warehouse and adherence to demarcations Reported all Health & Safety incidents timeously Managed and monitored safe disposal of expired and hazardous stock through approved vendors Maintained a safe and secure working environment Maintained zero Health & Safety incidents QUALITY MANAGEMENT Inspected components during and after production to ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances and
