Centurion: GLA Draughtsman

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Site Surveys & Building Verification (Draughtsman Jobs South Africa) Conduct site inspections and measurements of existing and newly acquired commercial, retail, and industrial properties Verify the accuracy of existing building plans and dimensions Assess and validate tenancy allocations and building layouts Ensure all building information is accurately captured and maintained Revit Modelling & As-Built Documentation Prepare accurate 3D as-built Revit models based on site measurements and available drawing information Update and maintain existing building models Verify and amend building layouts where changes have occurred Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and documentation requirements GLA & SAPOA Documentation Prepare Gross Lettable Area (GLA) layout drawings in accordance with SAPOA Guidelines Generate and maintain GLA and GBA documentation Compile and update GLA spreadsheets using information extracted from building drawings and models Maintain accurate tenancy schedules and floor area information Data Management & Reporting Organise and maintain property drawings, models, and related documentation Update historical GLA information into standardised reporting formats Ensure all records remain accurate, accessible, and up to date Support reporting requirements across various departments Stakeholder Support Provide technical support and feedback regarding building and tenancy information Respond to internal queries relating to floor areas, building layouts, and GLA calculations Collaborate with property, leasing, development, and facilities teams Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Draughting, or a related field Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Draughtsman within an architectural or property environment Minimum 3 years’ experience preparing GLA and GBA documentation Strong proficiency in Revit and building modelling software Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience working with commercial, retail, and industrial properties advantageous Key Skills Strong Revit modelling and drafting capability Knowledge of SAPOA measurement standards and methodologies Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Strong organisational and documentation management skills Advantageous Experience Commercial property management environment Retail and industrial property portfolios SAPOA Guidelines and floor area calculations Building Information Modelling (BIM) Property development or real estate sector exposure Why Apply Join a leading property organisation Work across a diverse commercial, retail, and industrial property portfolio Exposure to large-scale property data, modelling, and documentation projects Opportunity to work with experienced property and development professionals Career growth within a dynamic property environment
