About the Role
Phakisa Holdings is seeking an experienced Junior Draughtsman to join our team as a contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating design information and specifications into schematics, technical drawings, and production plans using computer-aided draughting methods.
Key Responsibilities
• Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics and 3D digital models of mechanical component designs
• Coordinate with engineers to understand project requirements
• Assist in ongoing projects to standardise design document standards
Requirements
• Technical competency
• Project management
• 3-5 years technical and draughting experience
• Knowledge of material specifications
• Computer skills (including Creo modelling, Windchill administration & MS Office)
• Manufacturing/heavy engineering experience, strong assemblies, BOMs, and ideally Creo (strong preference)
• Decision making
• Attention to detail
• Goal oriented
Qualifications
• Relevant tertiary qualification in draughting
• 1-3 Years experience in a similar position
• Proficient with Creo modelling
• Manufacturing/heavy engineering experience preferred
