About the Role

An established organisation within the financial services sector is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) to join their software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and refining mobile and web applications, improving existing functionality, and contributing to architectural and performance enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and deploy mobile applications using React Native.
  • Build and deploy web portals using React.js (TypeScript).
  • Develop and enhance new and existing components.
  • Work with analysts to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Improve code quality through refactoring and best-practice implementation.
  • Create unit tests, integration tests, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve system issues.
  • Manage mobile app store deployments (iOS, Android, and Huawei).
  • Perform functional testing and support quality testing phases.
  • Integrate mobile applications with API services.
  • Maintain application servers and support deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 / Matric.
  • IT-related Degree/Diploma OR Matric with 5 years’ relevant mobile development experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ mobile development experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong experience integrating mobile apps with API services.
  • Experience building backend API services using .NET Framework.
  • Proficient in relational database design and development.
  • Experience accessing device components (camera, geolocation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and development standards.
