About the Role

The Transport & Logistics Business Development Manager role exists to spearhead growth within the transport and logistics business by identifying new business opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that drive revenue and efficiency for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within the transport and logistics sector.
  • Identify and pursue new clients to grow market share through strategic plans.
  • Deliver tailored logistics solutions and persuasive sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build trust-based relationships with clients and manage satisfaction from initial engagement to post-sale support.
  • Spot upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize account value.
  • Maintain detailed pipeline reports and present performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, forums, and networking events.
  • Monitor industry rates, regulations, and innovations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within Transport and Logistics.
  • Strong understanding of taut liner freight for national and cross-border operations.
  • Strong understanding of side tipper operations for national mining.

Salary & Benefits

R800 000 – R900 000 CTC pa.
