About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employer Branding & Communications Specialist to join our Recruitment team on a 6-month contract. This role will focus on building and launching a clear Employer Value Proposition (EVP) for Core Group and iStore, and bringing it to life across both external and internal channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop EVP Development Work closely with Recruitment, HR and business leaders to define the Core Group EVP
- Conduct interviews and gather insights from employees, managers and leadership
- Identify key themes around why people join, stay and leave
- Develop clear EVP pillars and messaging that reflect the reality of the business
- Build a practical EVP toolkit that can be used by recruiters and hiring managers
- Employer Branding (External)
- Build and manage our employer brand presence, primarily on LinkedIn
- Create and post content on a consistent weekly basis (non-negotiable)
- Develop employee stories, day in the life content and culture-focused posts
- Improve how we position and write job adverts
- Ensure consistent tone and messaging across all recruitment content
- Content Creation (Core Focus)
- Write, design and publish content across platforms
- Capture real content in the business (stores, head office, career days, events)
- Create simple, clean visuals and templates (Canva or similar)
- Turn day-to-day business activity into relevant, engaging content
- Internal Communications
- Build a simple, effective internal communications structure
- Establish a monthly communication rhythm
- Draft and manage internal updates, announcements and key business communication
- Support leadership communication where required
- Create internal CI templated
- Align internal messaging with EVP and employer brand
- Recruitment Campaign Support
- Partner with recruiters on priority roles and hiring campaigns
- Support store hiring, tech roles, Africa recruitment and graduate pipelines
- Build targeted campaigns to improve attraction for hard-to-fill roles
Requirements
- 24 years experience in Employer Branding, Marketing or Communications
- Strong writing ability (non-negotiable)
- Experience managing LinkedIn or similar platforms professionally
- Basic design capability (Canva, Adobe or similar)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
