About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hazchem Code 10 Driver to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle for delivery and collection of hazardous materials
- Transport chemicals in accordance with Hazchem and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure correct loading, securing, and offloading of hazardous goods
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks
- Follow designated routes and delivery schedules
- Handle emergency situations (spills, accidents) according to Hazchem procedures
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Report vehicle faults, incidents, or delays promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Requirements
Valid Code 10 drivers license (C1)
Valid DGP (Dangerous Goods Permit)
Hazchem certification (dangerous goods handling)
Minimum 23 years driving experience
Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
Ability to read and understand safety documentation (e.g., MSDS)
