About the Role
Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified individual to join their team as a Quality Control Specialist in Secunda. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of surface preparation and coating applications on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation Inspection: Verify that surface preparation methods meet required standards.
- Coating Application Control: Ensure the correct paint or coating systems are used as per project specifications.
- Quality Testing & Inspection: Conduct Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurements, inspect for coating defects like runs, sags, blistering, and delamination.
- Documentation and Non-Conformance Management: Accurately complete daily inspection reports, checklists, and QC documentation to ensure material and batch traceability.
Requirements
Relevant experience in corrosion control, coating inspection, or quality control. Computer literacy for reporting and documentation. Valid drivers licence (if travelling between sites is required). Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete accurate reports and maintain traceability records.
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate. Relevant work experience: minimum 5 years. Any required certification level, for example NACE Level 1, Level 2, or equivalent. AWPP Certification.
