About the Role

The Compliance Monitoring Officer role is a critical component of our Financial Services team, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our compliance monitoring programme, working closely with the Compliance Team Directors and Management Team to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client due diligence to the appropriate standard in line with internal policies and procedures
  • Perform Periodic Reviews, record deficiencies, and generate action points for remediation
  • Utilise our screening system and open-source searches to conduct client screening
  • Monitor and analyse the results of automated ongoing screening systems and conduct research on relevant parties
  • Conduct compliance monitoring in accordance with the compliance monitoring programme
  • Record deficiencies and generate remediating action points
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and improving internal policies and procedures for operational efficiency and compliance
  • Develop and deliver training materials for staff members on compliance topics
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to staff on compliance matters
  • Participate in training sessions to increase knowledge of the regulatory environment
  • Complete other duties as required to drive business success

Requirements

  • Legal degree or certification
  • Compliance, Risk Management, or related degree or diploma
  • 2-3 years experience working in a compliance environment
  • Exposure to KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Customer Due Dilence) processes is highly advantageous
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, or risk assessments is a plus
