About the Role
AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking an experienced E&I Clerk of Works / Project Manager to manage full-time onsite Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) EPCM projects, ensuring all E&I project activities meet company standards, quality, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all E&I aspects of projects executed by the Projects Department.
- Act as Package Engineer for onsite and office-based EPCM projects.
- Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for RFQs and enquiries.
- Evaluate and adjudicate tenders; recommend suitable contractors.
- Verify that all E&I designs comply with SANS standards and company specifications.
- Facilitate design reviews with company engineers.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality control, and quality assurance throughout the full project lifecycle: Design, Procurement, Implementation, Punching, Testing & commissioning assistance, Red-lining of IFC drawings.
- Ensure proper application of company testing and commissioning procedures.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Ensure strong integration of E&I details with civil, process, and mechanical designs.
Requirements
- Strong command of company standards, specifications, design criteria, and commissioning procedures.
- Ability to manage all E&I aspects of projects executed by the Projects Department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- B.Tech / B.Eng (NQF Level 7) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Formal Project Management training beneficial.
- Minimum of 10 years’ industrial (operational) experience in a mining or plant environment.
