About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and service-driven Junior Food and Beverage Manager to support the daily operations of our food and beverage department at a boutique hotel in Touws Rivier, Karoo. As part of an exciting new phase for our destination, we require a strong F&B candidate with hospitality experience to lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of all food and beverage operations
  • Oversee front of house service to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Supervise and guide food and beverage team members on shift
  • Maintain high service standards and ensure consistency across outlets
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any service-related concerns promptly
  • Assist with stock control, stock takes and ordering processes
  • Support kitchen with basic costing and cost control measures
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Work closely with senior management to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role experience in a 4/5 star hotel/Resort/Lodge
  • Essential Diploma or similar in Food Service Management or related field
  • Beneficial A strong understanding of food and beverage trends, particularly in a boutique and luxury setting
  • Solid understanding of restaurant and bar service standards
  • Exposure to stock control and basic costing processes

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) are not required for this position.

Salary & Benefits

The package on offer is R 30-35 000 pm, depending on Experience. Accommodation is provided.
