About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join our busy daytime Restaurant in Rosebank, South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and managing the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise waiters
  • Give excellent customer services
  • Manage bookings
  • General planning and running of the shifts
  • Training junior staff members
  • Greet guests at assigned tables & ensure each guest knows all items on the menu & the basic ingredients and method of preparation of each
  • Take accurate food & drinks order, using the POS system and deliver within the specified time limits
  • Ensure that all orders are received timeously
  • Bill the guest correctly
  • Ensure restaurant area, fixtures & fittings are clean & hygienic
  • All other general floor manager duties

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Preferably 3 years of previous experience
  • Excellent communicator and very organized person
  • Able to interact with clients, welcoming and peoples person
  • Must have a background in hospitality, food service
  • Healthy energetic, available to work weekends, early starts but no evenings
  • Outgoing personality
  • Well groomed – neat and tidy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An eye for detail and keeps a meticulous shop
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong customer service orientation and active listener
  • Attentive and patient for customers
