About the role
The IT Support & Infrastructure Intern will assist the IT Department with day-to-day technical support, device preparation, classroom technology support, printer support, and basic infrastructure-related tasks while gaining practical workplace experience within a modern school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line IT support to staff and students.
  • Troubleshoot laptops, Chromebooks, printers, and classroom technology.
  • Assist with basic Chromebook and laptop hardware repairs.
  • Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace users.
  • Assist with printer support and print room operations.
  • Help with device setup, software installations, and workstation preparation.
  • Support classroom AV, projectors, and interactive displays.
  • Assist with IT asset management, cable management, and general maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
  • Matric.
  • completed an IT-related qualification will be advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of computers, hardware, and software.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
