About the Role

Dante Personnel is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 laboratory quality systems in a relevant laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, technical expertise, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily laboratory operations and staff management
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 laboratory quality systems
  • Manage testing schedules, reporting, and data integrity
  • Handle client interactions, quotations, invoicing, and service delivery
  • Implement risk management, corrective actions, and preventative improvements
  • Supervise laboratory staff and ensure competency training
  • Review, approve, and authorise laboratory test results
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, impartiality, and confidentiality requirements

Requirements

  • NQF Level 4 qualification with 10 years management experience in a relevant laboratory environment
  • NQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years management experience in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of the construction and engineering industry
  • ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Systems training
  • Technical Signatory recognized by SANAS
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Proven experience working in an accredited testing laboratory environment
