Safari JOBS is currently recruiting for a dynamic, organised, and service-hearted Camp Coordinator to join a world-renowned leader in nature training and wilderness education. We are seeking a “service-star” with a solid background in Front of House, Housekeeping, or F&B who is ready to transition into a pivotal coordination and mentorship role. As a Junior Management position, this is a strategic step forward where your hospitality expertise becomes the blueprint for others to follow. Acting as the operational heartbeat of the camp, you will ensure that hospitality standards, safety compliance, and daily logistics are executed with absolute precision, expertly bridging the gap between a rugged wilderness setting and sophisticated service. By guiding and teaching junior staff, and working closely with Instructors, Students, Support Staff and Reserve Management, you will ensure world-class standards are met daily, representing the gold standard of bush hospitality in an exciting, forward-thinking environment. Whether your ultimate goal is to grow into senior operations within the training sector or to become a high-end Lodge Manager, this role provides the foundational leadership and logistical mastery required to reach the top – You arent just managing a camp; you are mastering the art of wilderness hospitality. Clear criminal record; Excellent employment track record references will be verified; Excellent English fluency & literacy; High level of computer literacy; National Senior certificate (Grade 12); Valid drivers licence; Recognised qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree) from an accredited hospitality institution ?? formal high-end housekeeping or lodge operations training, preferably from a 5* lodge background; Approx. 3 – 5 years experience in a remote type environment e.g: safari lodge, hospitality, conservation or tour operating; Sound understanding of remote camp or lodge operations, preferably in coordination type roles; Strong organisational, logistical, and administrative skills; Experience with stock control, cash handling, and basic invoicing; Ability to implement and maintain high-end hospitality standards in a remote environment ??????????/????????????/?????? High energy levels with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Strong leadership presence and people-management ability; High levels of professionalism, accountability, and integrity; Ability to live and actively promote the companys mission, vision, and values. ??? ???????????????? ???? ?????????? & ????????????: Overall coordination of the day-to-day operations of a remote training camp; Ensure compliance with concession and reserve rules and regulations; Ensure all instructors, students, and visitors sign the Code of Conduct and Reserve Rules; Liaise with reserve management, landowners, and internal company departments on operational matters; Oversee camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and general maintenance requirements ???????????; ???????????? & ????? ??????????: Implement and maintain high-end hospitality and housekeeping standards in line with company expectations; Oversee room allocations, camp presentation, cleanliness, and guest comfort; Manage guest arrivals, departures, and overall camp experience; Collect and manage guest and student feedback to support continuous improvement ??????????????; ????????? & ?????????????: Manage all official camp communication, including camp phone and emails; Pre-course preparation, including course listings, paperwork, welcome letters, room allocations, food orders, and menu planning; Manage camp and guest administration, including filing, processing, invoicing, and recordkeeping; Manage stock control, petty cash, and basic financial administration ?????? & ????? ??????????: Supervise and coordinate housekeeping, kitchen, and general camp staff; Allocate duties, manage schedules, and maintain performance standards; Foster a positive, professional camp culture aligned with the company values; Maintain effective working relationships with instructors, students, interns, and visitors ??????; ?????? & ??????????: Ensure compliance with all legal, insurance, health, and safety requirements applicable to camp operations; Implement and maintain company policies and procedures; Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting related to compliance and operations ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? Competitive / negotiable CTC package NEG. DOE on field experience and unique skill set ?????? ?????? ???? ??????????? ?????? ?????????? ???? ???????????; Accommodation provided single tented accommodation with communal ablutions; 3 meals per day; Uniform; Discretionary bonus incentive based on personal and company performance Work cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off (subject to change based on operational requirements). Time off accrues as follows – Days off: 1.5 days off for every 5.5 days worked. Annual leave – 1 day for every 17 days worked. ????? ?? ????
