About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to join our newly opening 7-room luxury lodge in Greater Kruger (Hoedspruit). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full day-to-day lodge operation and delivering consistently high guest experiences. With a strong focus on building a strong team culture and setting standards, we are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who can thrive in a live-in, remote bush environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full day-to-day lodge operation across all departments
  • Lead, train, and motivate teams to deliver luxury service standards
  • Ensure excellent guest relations, hosting, and service recovery at all times
  • Maintain high presentation standards across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, budgeting basics, and operational cost awareness
  • Implement and maintain SOPs, checklists, and opening processes
  • Coordinate reservations / guest communications, daily schedules, and activity flow
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and lodge procedures

Requirements

  • Proven 5* Lodge Manager or senior lodge management experience essential
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational ability
  • Hands-on, solutions-driven, and calm under pressure
  • Confident across FOH, housekeeping, F&B, admin, and general operations
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in standards

Salary & Benefits

  • Package Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month (depending on experience)
  • Live-in accommodation provided
  • Three meals per day included
